About the Event

This is an exciting opportunity for schools to attend a meeting about Student Social Work Placements in schools. We have been developing the student school model for three years and work with universities across the region to facilitate school placements. To date we have provided 45 placements working with 30 schools to meet the learning needs of (BA/MA) first and final students. For the majority of students, the school environment has enhanced their knowledge, skills and understanding of pupils who have complex needs and how these are managed by school to support learning, attendance and inclusion. As we move into the new academic year we will be looking for schools to offer placements. This meeting will provide an opportunity to share information about the expectations of providing a student placement and how Clennell co-ordinates and supports the placement throughout the duration.
