About the Event
Cost: The course will cost £75 per delegate for CES clients who have a membership package at Enhanced Level and for those who have a contract with Debbie Judd HR
For CES clients with Core level packages, the cost will be £115 per delegate, and for non-members, £150 per delegate.
Overview
Where concerns are raised it is essential that schools respond promptly and in line with both policy and statutory requirements when investigating them.
Whether a disciplinary or grievance investigation, this session aims to equip school leaders and services managers with the skills, knowledge and experience to conduct effective, fair and thorough investigations.
From identifying the concern to writing a clear and concise investigation report, we will provide practical examples and interactive training tasks to guide delegates through legislation, procedure and best practice.
Course Outline
The session will cover:
· Processes to carry out the initial assessment of facts
· The role of the investigating officer
· How to undertake an effective, timely investigation into the issue, including who to appoint as the investigating officer
· Effective communication with the employee
· How to conduct investigatory interviews
· The role of Trade Union representatives
· Identifying and interviewing witnesses
· Supporting those involved
· Reviewing documentation and decision making
· How to write a clear and concise investigation report
· Confidentiality and data protection
