About the Event
AGENDA
Item 1: Our colleague Sarah Robson from Children North East is our host and guest speaker to share an exciting new programme being rolled out across Newcastle called 'Ways to Wellbeing'. This programme is designed to support parents/carers to better understand child and adolescent brain development and the signs which may indicate a mental health concern. Sarah will be explaining how the programme explores communication and the various issues that parents/carers face and can struggle with in supporting their children such as anxiety & depression.
Our guest speaker will also be touching upon how you take care of your own well-being with a view to raising awareness of the importance of modelling the best version of ourselves.
Although initially the 'Ways to Wellbeing' programme is Newcastle based, it is intended to extend to other local authorities if it generates enough interest and need.

Item 2: Open discussion amongst colleagues and Q&A
We all have different levels of experiences of working in and with schools and the challenges that we face in supporting and working with children and families. Part 2 of the network offers colleagues to share examples of good practice as well as raise any issues/discuss how to overcome certain barriers.
If you would like to add any items to the agenda please email paulastones.ces@gmail.com by 4th November.
